How much does a new deck or deck repair cost?
Deck pricing depends on the size, height, materials, existing conditions, stairs, railings and the amount of structural work required. Because every project is different, we start with an on-site bid walk so we can inspect the project and prepare a detailed written estimate.
Do you provide free estimates?
Yes. We offer free bid-walk estimates for qualifying deck construction, repair and rebuild projects within our service area.
What happens during a bid walk?
We meet with you at the property, inspect the existing deck or proposed construction area, discuss what you want to accomplish, take measurements and identify any visible structural concerns. We then use that information to prepare your written proposal.
Do you repair existing decks or only build new ones?
We do both. JPL Handyman Services provides new deck construction, complete deck rebuilds and targeted repairs including framing, joists, beams, ledger boards, decking, stairs and railings.
Can you replace the deck boards without rebuilding the entire deck?
Sometimes. If the existing framing is structurally serviceable, we may be able to replace the decking while keeping the existing structure. We will not install new decking over framing that we believe is unsafe or unsuitable.
